Carman's 1956 Chevrolet
Carman's '56 is something he's wanted for a long while now. Mixing old with new, he plans on giving his ride the subtle toughness of a black suede finish. Perhaps with ghost flames? What's that you say?.... ghost flames on a 4 door? Well how about a 4 point cage to make people stare even harder? Add a set of 17" Torque Thrust II's and you are looking for trouble now...Pack the engine bay with a stout 355 and a Muncie 4 speed...OH GOD.. this thing will be pissing retro by the time he's through. Carman actually acquired this 1956 150 Sedan by a stroke of luck and some good timing. Tim and Carman went to a cruise night in Orleans and were hungry on the way home so they pulled into the restaurant only to find that it was closed, and also found that there were about 5 fat fendered rods in the parking lot. Everybody chatted and had a laugh until the '56 drove by. Sure as sin, he pulled in and took a look at Carman's clean '63 Bel-Air. Realizing that he wanted a '63 and Carman had wanted a '50's ride for a while now, an offer was kind of thrown in the air to trade cars. After a quick test drive and a once over on the cars, the deal was made and by the weekend the '56 was driven home and the POOR BOYZ sticker was slapped on the back glass.
